 Rhianna's a poor match for Golbat, so I switch to Dorothy.

 Dorothy gets Wing Attack'd, beating her up quite a bit, but Dorothy's able to one-shot Golbat with a critical hit Powder Snow.

 Progress, etc.

Rhianna kills it in one hit with Razor Leaf.

 Made it to the second floor! Progress!

Day 442: Donphan

 After all the effort I manage to grab the Max Revive.

 I don't make it far, though,

 Rhianna kills Donphan in two hits with Razor leaf.

Day 441: Graveler

 I grab a Full Heal before heading onwards.

 The ladder to the next level is up those stairs there. Before that, though, I wanted to tackle this little rock maze for a Max Revive. None of the sources I consulted told me which path to take, so I had to choose one. Of course, I choose the wrong one.

A Graveler shows up. Rhianna kills it in one hit with Razor Leaf.

Day 438: Golbat

 So, yesterday I forgot to save my game!

At least I made more progress today than yesterday.

 For Golbat, I bring out Diane.

 I grab the potion that was on the floor and head left up the stairs. I don't make it very far; I forgot how bad caves can be...

 I get caught next to this Pokeball.

 Rhianna kills it in one hit with Razor Leaf.

Day 435: Donphan

 Rhianna kills it in one two hits with Razor Leaf.

Day 434: Golbat -- Victory Road

 So! I've reached Victory Road.

“Oh! The eight Badges of Johto!

Please, go right on through!”

 This is the reception center. Directly ahead lies Victory Road. To the east is the way to Kanto, but I can't go there yet because the "road is closed." Mt. Silver is to the west. The guard won't let me pass explicitly because the wild Pokemon would hand me my ass.

Thus, the only way is forward.

Upon going in, I realize I forgot to take a Pokemon with Strength.

 Yep.

Fortunately, though, Victory Road is a Fly destination. I Fly to another town and switch Garth the Poliwag for Aidan the Krabby. I then teach Krabby Strength and fly back.

Moving on, I push that boulder out of the way and walk over to the left.

 I get caught here.

 Rhianna's a bad fit for Golbat, so I switch to Nelly.

 A few Wing Attacks take it down.
