Day 218: Boarder Gerardo

 The next day, in the Mahogany Gym...

 I decide to reach that guy over on the right.

 I slide over and push the thing.

 I faceplant on the side of the Gym.

 Calling it: the "secret" will be entirely inconsequential.

 Rhianna Vine Whips Shellder twice. It takes two presumably because of Shellder's high defense.

 Rhianna uses Vine Whip, but Cloyster decides to be more of a cunt and Supersonics Rhianna. I switch to Nelly.

 Nelly gets a Bite and a Wing Attack, but succumbs to two super effective Aurora Beams. Cloyster's a cunt.

 Diane finishes it off with a Flame Wheel and Quick Attack.

 Gerardo's final Pokemon, a Seel, dies immediately to Vine Whip.

 Oh, I'm eager to hear what it is. But first...

 Vad?

Sweet. It looks like she's holding a giant invisible axe. Maybe that's just me.

Day 217: Boarder Deandre

 The next day, in Mahogany Gym...

I prime myself for the puzzle.

 I jam the cube against the other cube for some doublecube action.

Ta da. Moving on...

 we're in an ice box bro

 I switch from Diane to Rhianna to deal with the Seel.

 Rhianna kills it dead. Deandre brings out Dewgong. Afraid of its ice powers, I switch to Nelly.

A couple Wing Attacks kill it. I switch back to Rhianna for Deandre's final Pokemon.

 And Vine Whip kills it dead.

“that description.”

Day 216: Boarder Patton

“But hey—we're not playing games here!”

Swinub dies to a single Lava Plume.

It looks like this. Whoa.

The next and final Swinub shares the same fate.

Day 215: Skier Diana -- Mahogany Gym

 The next day, outside of the Team Rocket hideout...

 Free at last of that dungeon! I hit the Pokecenter and heal everyone up.

 Mahogany Gym is now unobstructed by random fatsos. I head in.

“As you'll find, his attack will make

you shiver in this freezing Gym.

Are you ready to be frozen solid?

I mean—keep up a hot fighting spirit

against ice!”

 Always a reassuring one, that champ-in-the-making guy!

The floor here is your standard slippy-frictionless game ice floor. For this first room, I just collide into the lower block to make it hit the upper one. Then I move left, up, right, up.

Second room doesn't look too bad either, but first...

Like don't put skis on when there isn't any snow?

 Her only Pokemon is a Jynx, who dies in one hit to Flame Wheel. You may have noticed I've been using Diane quite a bit; not only does she have type advantage here, but I want her to hit level 36 and evolve so she can deal with Pryce that much easier. After she evolves, I'll probably go back to Nelly. Rhianna will have to wait this gym out entirely.

 I usually ski on snow, though.

Day 214: Electrode

 The next day, by two dead Electrodes...

 This battle plays out exactly like yesterday's. Two Flame Wheels to kill it; it just uses Light Screen before going down. Afterwards I walk over to Lance.

“normal. You're the best!

Let me thank you on behalf of all the

Pokemon. Oh, yes. You should take this.

I found it here, but I don't have any

need for it.”

“Teach it to a Pokemon to get across wild

water. But keep this in mind.

You can use that out of battle only with

the Badge from Mahogany Gym.”

 Cool, another HM to waste a perfectly good move slot. Not a fan of the design behind HMs. Anyway, Lance has more words.

“The journey to become the Pokemon

Champion is long and difficult.

Knowing that, will you keep going?

 I had to type out all eighteen of those periods. I hope someone out there is happy about it.

 Lance exits, leaving me to my own devices. The plan'll have to be staring at a wall for the next 24 hours.

Day 213: Electrode

 The next day, next to the dead Electrode...

Two flame wheels kill it, it having only used Light Screen before going down.

Day 212: Electrode

The next day, after walking up to the first Electrode...

 The first of three!

 I bring out Rhianna since Diane was weak from yesterday. Electrode gets off a few Sparks, paralyzing her.

 Turns out not to be a factor though and Rhianna kills it after three hits.
